What: The Girl Scout Cookie Program is the ultimate girl-led business venture. It is so much more than selling cookies! Girls learn 5 skills that will last a lifetime: goal setting, decision-making, money management, people skills, and business ethics.

To help girls learn these skills, Girl Scouts Nation’s Capital is offering a variety of ways to get your cookie on! Read the options below and choose the best one for your troop.

Ordering: Read each option carefully as they are not all the same.

1. Cookie College Kit ($2.00 per girl)
A Cookie College Kit is a complete program designed to teach girls the ins and outs of running a cookie business. Girls rotate through ‘college’ classes earning their degree in everything cookies. Detailed instructions for planning and implementing your own event are provided as well as some of the supplies and a patch for each girl. You provide basic art supplies and some of the activity materials. This program is great for older girls to run to get service hours. It can also be used as a money-earning event to help fund Take Action projects and other Girl Scout related activities.

Minimum number of girls required is 25. If you order for less than 25 girls, your order will be denied. Click here for a list of classes and what is provided in the kit. If you have less than 25 girls, click here for the new Council Cookie Entrepreneur Patch Program.

2. Cookie Captain Patches ($1.00 per girl)
Girl volunteers often help run local Cookie Colleges. Select this option if you would like to provide a patch to your girl volunteers in recognition of their service. Please do not order Cookie College patches for your volunteers. These patches are not available through the Shop.

3. Cookie College Leader Guide (FREE)
Select this option is if you want to purchase your own supplies and make your own photocopies/posters. We will ONLY send you the leader guide. Leader guides will be sent electronically (no exceptions). Patches not included.

4. Cookie College Patches ($1.00 each)
Select this option if you are NOT ordering a kit, but you are hosting your own Cookie College and you want each girl to have a patch. These patches are not available through the Shop.

How to Order: All orders must be submitted through our online reservation system. You will need a debit/credit card to complete your order. We are not accepting any paper orders or checks this year.

When: There are three deadlines to place your order.

October 12 (Kits will be shipped out the week of October 15.)            

November 9 (Kits will be shipped out the week of November 12.)

YOU ARE ORDERING THIS KIT: December 7 (Kits will be shipped out the week of December 10.)

Please schedule your events accordingly so you have time to receive the kit and prep the materials.
